The Bay of Islands abound with opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities and nature. A must for most is a cruise to Cape Brett and the Hole-In-The-Rock. Not so well known is the Cape Brett walk, absolutely stunning. Swimming with the wild dolphins, fishing, walking/tramping, sailing, kayaking and Maori waka paddling. Horse riding, quad biking, golfing, sky diving, para gliding and flying are just some of the local activities. We offer information and booking facilities to our guests.
Paihia with shops and restaurants is 10 minutes drive, Waitangi, the birthplace of the nation, is another 3 minutes away. Russell, the first capital of New Zealand can be reached by ferry or you can drive around the inlet. Kerikeri with the historic Stone Store and Kemp House are 30 minutes away. Coach trips to 90 mile beach and Cape Reinga leave every morning. Below are some links to help you.
